The Hawks have officially waived Nene, freeing up a roster spot.

Nene signed an albatross contract with the Rockets during the summer with the sole purpose of facilitating a potential trade. He was included in the deal that sent Clint Capela to the Hawks and he is now a free agent but it’s unlikely he generates much interest.
