Ball has been working out in Detroit, but this still comes as a bit of a surprise. Routinely ranked among the top three draft prospects, the Pistons didn't figure to be on Ball's radar (or vice versa) at pick No. 7. Ball, in fact, had previously only spoken with the top four teams in the draft. Amid speculation that Ball's draft interviews haven't gone well, perhaps the Pistons are getting the sense that he could be available to them after all. It could also signal that Detroit, who is in dire need of a playmaker, could be considering a trade up in the draft as well. In terms of landing spots for a young PG, the Pistons are pretty good in terms of playing time, usage and potential fantasy value.
