• Every Sunday this season, I will share my pitching guide for that week. It will include a table of the projected 2-start starting pitchers and their opponents, with my recommendations on starts and sits (including for weekly rosters), plus my recommended pitching streams for the week.

For my recommended pitching streams, I will only suggest pitchers who are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo leagues. All starts are projected, but are subject to change due to injury, a team deciding to have a bullpen day, expand to a six-man rotation, etc. Stats are through Sunday morning.

    Noah Cameron – KCR – @ CLE – 36% rostered

Cameron hit for us last week, allowing just one run over five innings, striking out five Guardians, yet his rostered percentage only rose five points. This week, we are tapping into the Cameron well twice – today and again on Saturday when he faces the White Sox. By the end of the week, he should be rostered in over 50% of leagues and be ineligible for this list.

The Guardians have the 11th worst offense (wRC+ based) and they are one of the lowest scoring teams in the league (they are one of five teams to score 26 or fewer runs), with the seventh lowest on-base percentage.

    Cade Cavalli – WAS – vs STL – 14%

Cavalli had far more success in his second start than he did his first, throwing nearly two-times as many innings, while walking one fewer batter and allowing two fewer runs against an equally as good opponent (he faced the Cubs in his first start, the Phillies in his second). He hasn’t stood out in any on area, though his change up has generated some solid value, but this stream is more about the poor Cardinals offense.

They have the 11th lowest OPS in the league, .651, the tenth fewest walks and the eleventh lowest slugging percentage. Only three starters have an OPS north of .682 and only two players have hit more than one home run. They have four good bats and that is the extent of their offensive fire power.
