Week 10 Injury Roundup

  • It was another light week of injuries around the NFL in Week 10. The quarterback position again took a hit and we will get into it here.

Dak Prescott – Cowboys – Hamstring

The Cowboys star quarterback has decided to undergo season ending surgery to repair a tear in his hamstring and be ready for 2025. Prescott is safe to drop in redraft leagues as he will not play another down. Dak is expected to be healthy and ready to go in the offseason, so he will have that time to get ready and will head into 2025 with solid QB2 standing, especially having CeeDee Lamb’s contract concerns behind him. In the meantime, Cooper Rush takes over as QB1 and he has no fantasy value, but judging by Sunday’s game with the Eagles, CeeDee’s value as WR1 is going to take a hit from one of the top in the game to a low end WR1 moving forward.
Trevor Lawrence – Jaguars – Shoulder
Lawrence missed Sunday’s game due to an AC joint sprain. There were rumors about him also missing the remainder of the year but at this point that has been quelled. For now Mac Jones takes over as the starter and just like Cooper Rush above, has no fantasy value moving forward but it will hurt guys like Brian Thomas Jr. who goes from a solid WR2, to low end WR2.
Tank Bigsby – Jaguars – Ankle
Bigsby was limited to two second half snaps due to an ankle injury in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings and his status for Sunday’s game at the Lions is unknown. The good news for fantasy fans is Travis Etienne is on his way back after missing a month, and could play Sunday, so that alone would hurt Bigsby’s stock.
Aaron Jones – Vikings – Ribs
Jones was carted off to the locker room after taking a shot to the chest, he did return to the game to help the Vikings close it out but it is a situation to monitor throughout the week. During his time off the field, Cam Akers took over on backup duties so if Jones can not go for the Vikings on Sunday in Nashville, it would make Akers a priority add on the waiver wire.
Tyreek Hill – Dolphins – Wrist
Hill played in Monday night’s win over the Rams through a wrist injury that is more severe than he is letting on. It was reported on the ESPN broadcast that Hill is playing through a torn ligament in his wrist and will continue to push through it. He was limited to four targets Monday night and we will see how this wrist injury impacts him moving forward. Jaylen Waddle could be a nice buy low option as we approach the fantasy trade deadlines.
Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman – Bills – Wrist
The BIlls’ top two wideouts missed Sunday’s contest with the Colts as both were dealing with wrist issues. From what it sounds like the injuries are not too serious and both could be back for Sunday’s massive game with the Chiefs. This is going to be difficult for Josh Allen too, while he was able to make it work and put up a solid fantasy stat line against the Colts, the Chiefs defense is a different beast and if one or both are out, that could impact his value. Cooper will come in as a WR2 and Coleman will come in with Flex value if both are able to go. Khalil Shakir will hold low end WR2/Flex value regardless of their status.
Dalton Kincaid – Bills – Knee
Kincaid hurt his knee early in the Bills win over the Colts, left the game in the 3rd quarter, and did not return. If Kincaid can not go Sunday, Dawson Knox would take over as TE1 and he would actually be a priority add on the wire. Despite the Chiefs having an elite defense, they have allowed the most fantasy points per game to tight ends and in a position that lacks depth and is inconsistent week to week, Knox would be worth taking a chance on.
