Key Storylines

There are two storylines that are very key to tonight’s matchup: First, it was reported earlier today that Karl-Anthony Towns is out indefinitely with a torn meniscus. Second, Tyrese Haliburton has been struggling mightily since he balled out in the All-Star exhibition game at the Pacers’ own Gainbridge Fieldhouse. To all those managers who spent a second- or third-round pick on KAT or a first on Hali, I’m sorry.

Regarding the Wolves, I guess this is why they spent so much of their funds on three bigs. They should be able to survive the regular season okay, given Anthony Edwards’ two-way play and the elite defense of Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels, but outside of Edwards, the Wolves really lack firepower. As for the Pacers, they’re legitimately just kind of screwed if their number-one guy isn’t doing what they expect and need him to do. Is he still sort of dealing with his strained hamstring or is he just exhausted from the heavy workload he carries every game?

With the news coming out of the Twin Cities, you need to pick up Kyle Anderson if you haven’t already. He’s probably already been scooped up, but considering how he filled in for KAT last season, Slo Mo will probably provide similar Draymondesque lines for the remainder of the fantasy season.
