Key Storylines

The Big Man Committee: With Ivica Zubac out for weeks, we should continue monitoring the balance of minutes between Mason Plumlee and Daniel Theis. Plumlee has proven that he can be a 12-team player in starter’s minutes before, but Theis is quite a capable backup. For now, Plumlee seems to the the add but we should be looking to continue our observations.

Nothing but Nets: The Net have been a mess, no doubt. I am quite intrigued by Dennis Smith Jr. though. He has a nice fantasy game if he gets 30-plus minutes and that has happened a few times recently. I have seen stats which suggest that Cam Thomas lineups work best with a pass-first, defensive-oriented guard next to him. That is, Dennis Smith Jr. (or Ben Simmons). Smith has not nailed down enough of a role for permanent 12-team rostership but we should want to continue collecting data from this game to better our decision-making.

Stream of the Game

Norman Powell is always an option for points and threes. Dennis Smith Jr. is also a solid choice for assists and steals if he gets 25-plus minutes.

If Mason Plumlee is still lying around then he’s a long-term add for big man stats (besides blocks, which he doesn’t get as regularly).
