    Key Storylines

Yesterday’s In-Season Tournament loss to the Bucks marked Miles Bridges’ first game back with the team after serving a suspension for felony domestic violence charges; he pled no contest in court last November, but last month, he violated his probation by throwing billiard balls at the windshield of his children’s mother’s car while they were inside the vehicle. In a statement released the day before the game, the Hornets said they were “comfortable” with Bridges’ return. To start the season, Gordon Hayward was having quite the resurgence, PJ Washington had increased usage, and Nick Richards was giving the team great production in 16-20 minutes per game. Against the Bucks, though, those three barely showed up in the box score; meanwhile, Bridges had two threes, 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Jalen Brunson’s threes have been up so far this year, but his efficiency from the field and his assist numbers have gone down. Julius Randle’s shooting struggles have been a major focus basketball media at large, but also specifically within fantasy circles. Mitchell Robinson oddly couldn’t get the ball in the basket for a few games there, either. It looks like Brunson and Randle are both getting on track, though, and Mitch Rob is back to mashing dudes, without hurting your field-goal percentage. Look for the Knicks to pretty easily handle the Hornets today.
