Key Storylines

Donovan Mitchell returned in their last game after a six-game absence and had a rough shooting night but made up for it with a strong assist total. His return is much needed for the Cavaliers after they went 2-4 during that stretch. They are third in the Eastern Conference standings but it is a tight race in the middle spots and they are only three games ahead of the sixth-place Indiana Pacers. Getting Mitchell will take away some usage from Jarrett Allen but will open things up for him and Evan Mobley, who had been down a bit and ranked as the 120th player during Mitchell’s absence.

While Jamal Murray is questionable for today’s game, Nikola Jokic is probable which should still give the Nuggets a fighting chance in most circumstances. Jokic has been a top-three fantasy player all season and that should continue as the season starts wrapping up. Michael Porter Jr. has cooled down in a big way after a blazing stretch in the first half of the month but Murray misses, he will need to step up as an offensive option for the Nuggets. Reggie Jackson will be the biggest beneficiary as he is the likely candidate to step into the starting point guard spot without Murray.
