Key Storylines

The Ben Simmons Experience – He is officially listed in after missing Wednesday with a knee contusion. However,he is still a major risk and liability as managers will hope he gets out of this one healthy. He also be on a minutes restriction, so keep that in mind. If you have been one of the brave souls to hold on to him this whole time, I applaud your persistence and you were rewarded with 18 minutes of elite fantasy basketball. Now we can hope he can do it again and stay together in one piece. His return is going to be a slow one as he is going to have a minutes restriction for the forseeable future when he does play. The Nets are looking to be sellers at the deadline as players like Spencer DInwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale are all prime candidates to be moved.

The Joel Embiid Experience – Well. At least we KNOW Embiid ain’t playing. He is now considering surgery after being diagnosed with a displaced meniscus flap, per The Athletic’s Sham Charania. We know Paul Reed is worth adding as he just eclipsed 50% rostered today so this is probably last call on his availability. Kelly Oubre will get a ton of usage with Embiid out, so check for him as he is right at 50% rostered. Embiid was in a two-horse race with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for 9-cat fantasy champion. Right after MVP, its the most prestigious award (sarcasm.) The Experience does not end with Embiid when it comes to Philly. De’Anthony Melton is out. Nic Batum and Marcus Morris have both missed two games and are questionable. Now, do the Sixers make moves at the deadline? They have loads of expiring deals as they don’t have long-term dollars committed to anyone not named Embiid or Reed. Everyone’s contract is either expiring or has a team option. They also have first-round picks to play with. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

Stream of the Game

Keep a hawk’s eye on the Injury Report for this one so you don’t play anyone who gets ruled out. Check for Reed and Oubre. Tobias Harris is questionable as are Marcus Morris and Nic Batum. Danuel House and Pat Beverley become options if they all miss. Batum is worth a stream if Harris is out.
