This week we not only welcome in the 17^th week of Streamer Tidd-Bits, but the start of August as well. As we’re finally getting back into the swing of things following the All-Star break, we also need to be ready to react to the flurry (hopefully) of trades on and leading up to the July 30^th deadline. I don’t expect the deadline to affect what we do here all that much, but a trade of Tarik Skubal and/or Jack Flaherty could open the door for someone like Jackson Jobe and then him subsequently being considered as a merit-based pickup. But that will have to wait until next week for that. Looking back on our merit-based results from the week of 7/8 – 7/14 we went 1-1, with Andre Pallante coming through for us a second time while Josh Winckowski lost his spot in the Red Sox rotation and failed to pitch well in relief. We don’t have any matchup-based results from the week of 7/15 – 7/21 (the week of the All-Star game) because teams’ rotations weren’t finalized yet and most of the starters who would pitch that weekend wouldn’t have been widely available in the Main Event. With the recap out of the way, we move on to our recommendations for the week of 7/29 – 8/4.
