We are getting down to the wire for fantasy and if you are in H2H leagues, you want to either start building your team for the playoffs or continue to fight and stay alive long enough to squeak in.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Andrew Nembhard, PG, Pacers (20% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 29 minutes, eight points (3-of-7 FG), two triples, four boards, one dime and one steal
Nembhard isn’t blowing anyone away with his recent lines, but he continues to start on one of the most explosive offenses in the NBA. He’s got at least one steal in six straight games and has scored in double figures in four of the last six. He’s got a solid floor and a high ceiling if someone happens to Tyrese Haliburton or even TJ McConnell.
Dereck Lively II, C, Mavs (48% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 23 minutes, nine points (4-of-4 FG, 1-of-2 FT), four boards, one dime, two steals and five blocks
This is the kind of breakout game that has been lurking for the dynamic rookie. Maxi Kleber sat out which gave Lively a little more run, but he doesn’t need 24+ minutes a night in order to be effective. He’s still very volatile, but with two more games this week, there are worse streaming options for a C.
Kelly Olynyk, PF/C, Raptors (31% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 18 minutes, 13 points (5-of-10 FG, 2-of-2 FT), one trey, two dimes and one steal
There was a decent chance that Olynyk was going to start with Jakob Poeltl rolling his ankle in the previous game, but the Raptors for some reason continue to be competitive when they should be tanking. Poeltl might be too good for the mission objective and there’s a world in which Olynyk ends up starting in a not-too-distant future. He’s a solid stash with decent upside in deeper leagues.
