Paul’s Fantasy Baseball FAAB Recommendations – Week 14

    Let’s get into it.

    In order of roster% – 

    12-TEAM LEAGUES (FANTRAX ROSTER%)

    OF Trent Grisham – NYY – 83% – I am only listing him as his roster% has dropped since going on the IL (under 50% on Yahoo) and that means, there is a chance someone dropped him in your leauge. Scoop him up if that is the case. Since May 1 he has  hit .290 with four homers, five steals, 25 runs and 19 RBI in 150 PA. BID – 7-12%

    2B, SS Nasim Nunez – WSN – 60% – a mainstay as a deep league option, he is in 12-team territory while he is hot with the bat to go with a ton of steals. It likely won’t last but get while the gettin’ is good. BID – 1-2%

    C Yainer Diaz – HOU – 59% – his roster% is gone down and that makes no since. Since April 19 (long IL stay), he has 74 PA but has looked like the dude that he was drafted to be. A couple of homers and a slash of .310/.324/.479. BID – 2-4%, more in 2-catcher formats

    1B Josh Bell – MIN – 57% – He was a favorite sleeper of mine entering the year. He made me look smart in April. Then he got super cold. Now he is back. Over his last 105 PA he has four homers, 22 RBI and a .306/.352/.520 slash. The xStats match in this time go with a 9.1 barrel rate and 44.2% hard-hit rate. BID – 2-4%

    P Ian Seymour – TBR – 57% – Another favorite sleeper of mine. This time, he peddled around as a weird hybrid of high-leverage reliever, bulk reliever, middle reliever. But now he is finally starting/getting starter workloads with an opener, and he is lookin’ good. He got built up to 90 pitches last time out, going 6.2 scoreless and hitless innings with one walk and seven Ks. Over his last four bulk outings he has a 2.84 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 19 Ks in 19 innings. Up next are the lowly Royals. BID – 3-5%

    SS Anthony Volpe – NYY – 55% – Finally the Yanks are giving him an everyday role with Ryan McMahon out. He his slashing .349/.429/.442 with a couple of steals over his last 49 PA. The avgEV is 94.0 with a 51.6% hard-hit rate. Can he force his way into more playing time even when McMahon comes back? BID – 2-4%

    OF Lars Nootbar – STL – 55% – I have been telling you add him since he was rehabbing from his injury. He is still only rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues. He has a .903 OPS with a 93.7 MPH avgEV, 12.2% barrel rate, great xStats. Get him. BID – 4-10%
