Derrick Rose underwent an MRI on his sprained right ankle and it returned negative, but the Pistons will be cautious and the 2010-11 league MVP is expected to be reassessed in a few weeks.

This is very bad news for Rose who is looking at a lengthy absence after sustaining a right ankle injury. Bruce Brown and Brandon Knight should get the point guard minutes as long as Rose remains sidelined..
