Nikola JokicC, Denver NuggetsAdrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst are reporting that Nikola Jokic has tested positive for COVID-19 in Serbia, delaying his return to the US.
Jokic is said to be asymptomatic and is expected to be cleared for travel within a week, but this is yet another reminder that the virus is in control of the NBA's restart — not the players or the league. Teams are said to be bracing for multiple positive tests as players follow the league's testing protocols, and while there is still time for currently ill players to recover fully, there's going to be plenty of questions raised about what will happen if someone inside the "bubble" tests positive once the NBA decides to move full steam ahead.
