The Knicks have "registered interest" in D'Angelo Russell, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ian Begley of SNY reported yesterday that the Knicks and Warriors have been in touch, though he didn't mention direct interest in Russell — only that the Warriors would like to move salary to get under the tax. The Wolves remain Russell's top and most obvious suitor, so this could be the Warriors trying to force up the price by creating a larger market. The Wolves have been unwilling to include their first-round pick to this point, which may crack the door for another team to toss its hat in the ring.
