Russell WestbrookPG, Houston RocketsShams Charania is reporting that the Hornets have emerged as a suitor for Russell Westbrook following his trade request.
The Rockets have reportedly been "protective" of Westbrook in trade talks so far but they don't really have much of a choice if he wants out. Charlotte is definitely out of left field as a landing spot considering they have two solid guards already in Devonte' Graham and Terry Rozier, but the franchise is missing some star power and would certainly give Westbrook the total control on the court that he desires. Charlotte's movable veteran contracts make a deal possible, but it certainly wouldn't elevate them into the Eastern Conference's top seven teams.
