Kevin O'Connor reports that the Knicks and the Hornets have discussed Julius Randle in trade talks.

If Randle can make his way to a team that's set up for his success like the Pelicans were last season, he could make a big jump after the deadline. A large chunk of the league will be discussed by Thursday's trade deadline, so don't assume anything like this is happening. Just be prepared to adjust.
