Davis BertansF, Washington WizardsThe Wizards have listened to a plethora of offers for Davis Bertans ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, but they have not been swayed from their plan to keep the sharpshooter and re-sign him in the summer.
“We have every intention of retaining him,” Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard said. “He’s the exact type of player we want to have in our organization. I think he wants to be here. Business will take care of itself.”
The Wizards plan to make the 27-year-old a building block for their future and the Latvian forward seems to be happy in DC. Bertans remains a must-own player in standard leagues averaging 3.6 triples per game, the highest average in franchise history.Source: Washington Post
