Mitch Keller OVER 5.0 Pitcher Strikeouts
Mitch Keller continues his inconsistent season with a relatively easy matchup against the Cardinals, who currently sit in last place in the NL Central. In his last few starts, Keller reminded us what made him a contender for the Cy Young earlier in the year. In his last start, which came against the Cubs, Keller was sensational over eight innings. He only struck out six in that one, but over his five August starts, he averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. The Cardinals have averaged 10.4 strikeouts per game over their last five.
Tyler Glasnow OVER 6.5 Pitcher Strikeouts
While the Guardians have struck out less than any other team over the course of the season, over the past two weeks they rank in the middle of the pack with the 16th most strikeouts in that time period. Tyler Glasnow has hit over 6.5 strikeouts in eight out of his last nine starts. His only issue this season has been staying healty, but when he is out there, he looks as good as ever. Glasnow’s strikeout percentage at 32.6% ranks behind only Spencer Strider’s 38% among all starting pitchers.
Underdog Fantasy
Jordan Lyles OVER 5.5 Hits Allowed
In 25 Jordan Lyles starts this season, the Royals are 3-22. While some of those losses do not directly correlate with his performances, a lot of them do. Lyles allowed at least six hits in four out of his five August starts. The Red Sox will be coming to town and they rank behind only the Astros in total hits over the last 15 days. The Red Sox have the second highest batting average against right-handed pitching this season behind only the Braves.
Justin Verlander OVER 6.5 Strikeouts
The youth movement has arrived in the Bronx and Yankees fans will be happy there’s any movement at all coming from this languid lineup. Many people might have expected this series to be meaningful looking at the schedule before the season, but instead we get two teams that could not be going in more opposite directions. The scene will be a familiar one with Justin Verlander making the start at Minute Maid Park against the Yankees. He has made two starts at MMP since arriving back in Houston and has registered 16 strikeouts over those two starts. In eight starts since JV first arrived in Houston, he has a 1.84 ERA with 53 strikeouts against the Yankees. The Yankees rank second in total strikeouts over the past week behind only the Tigers.

Francisco Lindor UNDER 0.5 Total RBIs
While Francisco Lindor has actually had a decent season by Mets standards, runs might be hard to come by against Logan Gilbert tonight. Gilbert has only given up 10 runs in each of the last two months, making five starts in each month. Much like Luis Castillo and George Kirby, Gilbert has not allowed many baserunners and ranks in the top 5 WHIP leaders among all starters. Lindor has not driven in a run in his last five games.
Shohei Ohtani OVER 0.5 Total RUNs
The Angels will be making their way up north to Oakland to start a three game set between the bottom two teams in the AL West. While the Angels have waved the white flag, the future MVP continues to play in what could be his last month donning an Angels jersey. In seven games against the Athletics this season, Ohtani has scored six runs and has gotten on base 12 times in 30 ABs.
