    Fun Facts for the season

-The Sixers currently have the best home record in the entire NBA with 29 wins and only two losses (the Milwaukee Bucks are currently 28-3 at home) while they are tied with the Knicks for the seventh fewest wins on the road with 10. There have only been two times in NBA history since the 1990-91 campaign where a team has had a .500 difference in winning percentage between their home and away games. The Orlando Magic had a .5122 percent difference in 1994-95 when they were 39-2 at home and 18-23 on the road. This current Sixers team has to figure out their road woes as the difference so far this season comes out to .6414.

-Sam Hinkie was general manager of the Sixers from 2013 until April of 2016 and the team is still benefiting from all of the assets he was able to accumulate in his two and a half seasons. To this day, the Sixers have quite a few players and future assets that can, in part, be related to Hinkie: Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Josh Richardson, Matisse Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz, Mike Scott, Zhaire Smith, a 2020 first (via Oklahoma City protected top-20, if unconveyed becomes 2022 and 2023 second round picks), a 2020 second round pick (via Atlanta, protected 56-60), a 2021 second round pick (via New York), a 2023 second round pick (most favorable of Atlanta, Charlotte and Brooklyn), and a 2024 second (via Miami, protected top-55), and the rights to Vasilije Micić

-Ben Simmons had another very solid fantasy season as he was on pace to return 2nd/3rd round per-game value but his greatest production came during a nine-game stretch when Joel Embiid was sidelined with a finger injury as Simmons produced 1st/2nd round per-game value over that span

-Matisse Thybulle led all rookies with a combined 2.1 steals and blocks per game (P.J. Washington was second with 1.7 in 30.3 mpg) and he did that while averaging only 19.5 mpg. As far as a pure defensive specialist (ignoring all other categories), Thybulle ranked in the top-25 among all NBA players so far this season and is a name to watch moving forward if he can improve on the offensive end.

-Joel Embiid has a reputation for not being durable so far in his career after he only played in 12.6 percent of his team’s games over his first three years in the league. He has never finished a fantasy season with total value exceeding his per-game value but the three-time All-Star has been able to play in 75.7 percent of regular and postseason games over the last three campaigns.

-As it stands right now, the Sixers have little to no financial flexibility heading into next season with five players slated to make $131.27M of their $147.17M payroll (the highest in the league): Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Al Horford and Josh Richardson
