It’s Max Strus and Gabe Vincent, miles ahead of the rest. They’re safe to deploy as long as Miami’s starting backcourt is sidelined. A cut below them you can go at Pat Connaughton, Jevon Carter and maybe Joe Ingles, depending on how risky you’re feeling.

Thrive Prop Plays of the Day

Ja Morant U 27.5 PTS (105 PTS) – This is no knock on Ja Morant, as he’s been a monster during his third year, averaging about 28/6/8 a game. The Pacers have been able to hold Damian Lillard, LaMelo Ball, and Trae Young under this total recently, with only Jalen Brunson surpassing 27.5 points. I believe Memphis will focus on attacking Indiana’s poor defense against forwards with Bane, Brooks, and Jackson taking over the scoring.

LaMelo Ball O 5.5 AST (80 PTS) – This prop is set way too low and 80 points should be more than encouraging to take as part of your contest. Ball has gone over this total in 12 of his last 13 games. Going up against the reigning DPOY in Marcus Smart should encourage Ball to pass the ball more.

    DFS Pillar Play

    Joel Embiid

    Position: C

    Salary: $11,000

Embiid is my favorite pay-up play in today’s slate. We already saw Embiid put up the third-best performance of the season in his matchup last time, putting up 59/11/8 with 7 blocks. Embiid has been known to speak out about how much he wants (and probably deserves) an MVP. Combined with him playing light minutes recently, I think this is the perfect storm of events for Embiid to go nuclear once again.

    DFS Value Plays (<$5,000 Salary)

    Al Horford

    Position: PF/C

    Salary: $4,600

Horford has been very solid as a value option, putting up 23 DK points in 5 of his last 7 games, which is plenty for his salary. Today is an even better day to play him–not only does he get to go against the worst defense vs Cs, but will also get more usage and rebounding opportunities without Jaylen Brown on the court. I’d recommend putting him at the PF spot.
