Fantasy Basketball Draft Guide 2026: One-Cat Studs

By Mark C Published October 15, 2026 2 min read

Picture yourself approaching the end of the draft. You thought points were secure — you drafted Anthony Edwards in the first and Jaylen Brown in the third, of course you’re strong in points! But suddenly, your SportsEthos draft tracker projects your team seventh in points! You panic — who is left on the board, how can you recover in what should be a core strength of your team???

Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! And not just in points, in three-pointers, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, FG%, and FT%! Need a boost in any of these categories? Just hit Control+F (iykyk), type in your category, and…voila! You’ll be hit with a list of names of players with an ADP of 100 or greater than can help in that category. Let’s get into the full list below!

All stats are from Basketball-Reference unless otherwise stated. All ADPs are from Yahoo and current as of 10/12. All projections are from SportsEthos 🙂

Current ADP: 106.8

Projection: 20.1 Points

Darryn Peterson is one of the most explosive scoring prospects we’ve seen in a while (outside AJ Dybantsa but you know…both are good!). While I certainly have questions about how much on-ball usage he’ll garner in his rookie season, there’s zero doubt that Hardy will tap into Peterson’s scoring abilities right away. Head coach Will Hardy knows how to get the best of his players on the offensive end, and I foresee pleeennnntttyy of Peterson scampering off off-ball screening actions and being unlocked. Now Peterson will splash plenty of threes too, but points have a chance to be truly impactful.

After years of playing redraft fantasy basketball leagues with my friends, I branched out to dynasty leagues. As my hunger for competitive leagues grew, I found myself having lengthy conversations in various forums and developing my own thoughts on rookies and veteran players alike. Among the dynasty community, I found a gap in understanding on-court play and valuing transactions properly and thought to myself "I have a lot to say that could help dynasty managers!" I eventually came onto Sports Ethos as the Dynasty Lead, producing Dynasty Fantasy Basketball content such as rankings, rookie profiles, and other sorts of articles to enable managers to make informed decisions on their own squads. I pride myself in marrying on-court NBA and fantasy basketball analysis, giving readers and listeners of my content a holistic knowledge base of not only dynasty basketball projects but also the NBA itself.
