CJ Stroud – Texans – Head
Stroud suffered a head injury in the Texans’ loss to the Broncos and is now in the league’s concussion protocol. He will have to clear it in order to play in Week 10 against the Jaguars. If Stroud can not clear, Davis Mills will start for the Texans and fantasy managers should look to the waiver wire to stream a quarterback.Â
Jayden Daniels – Commanders – Elbow
Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in the fourth quarter of the Commanders’ loss to the Seahawks on Sunday night. An MRI is expected to determine further results but it is presumed Daniels will likely miss the remainder of the season. Marcus Mariota will take his place again and with a litany of injuries to the Commanders’ skill players, he will hold no more than QB2 value so Daniels’ owners should likely look on the waiver wire to see if they can grab one of the few remaining quarterbacks available.Â
Samaje Perine – Bengals – Ankle
Perine suffered an ankle injury and did not return in the Bengals’ Week 9 loss to the Bears. The severity of the injury is not yet known but Perine was a popular waiver wire add after his big Week 8 against the Jets. He has seen his snap share percentage increase over the last four weeks as well to help keep Chase Brown fresh. The Bengals are heading into their bye week and no action will be needed here yet as managers were already prepared to not have him anyway.Â
Aaron Jones – Vikings – ShoulderÂ
Jones suffered a sprained AC joint in the Vikings’ win over the Lions on Sunday and did not return to the game. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero the injury is believed to be minor and he expects to play in Week 10 when the Vikings take on the Ravens. If that is in fact the case Jones will hold RB2/Flex value against a Ravens defense that has by and large struggled this season. If he can’t go, Jordan Mason will again assume top running back duties and will likely not be available on the waiver wire.Â
Quinshon Judkins – Browns – Shoulder
Judkins left the Browns’ Week 8 loss to the Patriots early with a shoulder injury and he did not return. He is considered day to day for now so at this point it’s absolutely a situation worth monitoring. Although Head Coach Kevin Stefanski has said that his shoulder should not be an issue, Keep an eye on his practice status throughout the week but go and pick up Dylan Sampson in the meantime as a handcuff in case Judkins can not go in Week 10.Â
Saquon Barkley – Eagles – GroinÂ
Barkley left the Eagles’ Week 8 win over the Giants early due to a groin injury. What we don’t know is if there’s truly an injury or if it was a precaution due to the Eagles’ having a comfortable lead. The injury however is not believed to be serious and with the team now on its bye week, there’s no immediate need for fantasy managers to do something. However, if Tank Bigsby is available, it wouldn’t hurt to grab him just in case Barkley does have to miss time.Â
Matthew Golden – Packers – Shoulder
Golden suffered a shoulder injury in the Packers’ loss to the Panthers on Sunday and did not return. Golden is currently listed as day to day so his status will have to be monitored throughout the week. With Tucker Kraft lost for the season and Jayden Reed not yet back from his broken collarbone, look for the Packers to go by committee with their pass catchers between Golden, Romeo Doubs, and Christian Watson. Watson is just 32% rostered in Sleeper leagues and 28% rostered in Yahoo leagues. Watson and Golden have been targeted just three times each per game since Watson’s return but that could change with Kraft’s injury.Â
Travis Hunter – Jaguars – Knee
Hunter suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice last Thursday and was immediately placed on short term injured reserve. Parker Washington will assume the number two wide receiver role now and it already paid early dividends for managers who went to pick him up as he led the team in targets, receptions, and yards against the Raiders. However…the Jaguars get a tough matchup on Sunday against a stingy Texans defense.Â
Puka Nacua – Rams – Ribs
Nacua injured his ribs in the third quarter of the Rams’ win over the Saints. He was taken to the locker room for evaluation, returned to the field with his helmet on but ultimately returned to the game. Fortunately, head coach Sean McVay said after the game that Nacua is ok and was held out for precautionary reasons since the Rams had the game well in hand. If that does hold to be true, Nacua will again be a top wide receiver next Sunday when the Rams take on an injury ravaged 49ers defense. If he can’t go, Davante Adams will again take up most of the target share and outside of that, in Nacua’s previous absence, the Rams spread the ball around to multiple pass catchers fairly evenly so looking elsewhere on the waiver wire may be the best bet.
Kayshon Boutte – Patriots – Hamstring
Boutte left the Patriots’ Week 9 win over the Falcons with a hamstring injury and despite being listed as questionable to return to the game, ultimately he did not. Boutte has been one of the top wide receivers in fantasy football this season and with a great matchup coming on Sunday against the Buccaneers, it would be a big loss for the Patriots and fantasy managers. If he were to miss time that could mean increased roles for DeMario Douglas and rookie Kyle Williams. Douglas by veteran status would be the highest priority to add of the two.Â
Cedric Tillman – Browns – Hamstring
The Browns have designated Cedric Tillman to return to practie from short term injured reserve. The team will have 21 days from there to activate him, which it’s expected they will. Upon return he will hold low end WR2/Flex value. Tillman is only rostered in 16% of Sleeper leagues and 11% of Yahoo leagues, so he could be great late season waiver wire add.Â
Brian Thomas Jr. – Jaguars – Ankle
Brian Thomas Jr. is dealing with a low grade ankle sprain but is day to day and has a chance to play this week. The second year wideout has been dealing with a litany of injuries this season that has derailed his fantasy value. With rookie Travis Hunter already sidelined for at least another three weeks, the Jaguars have traded for Jakobi Meyers so if Thomas can not play Sunday look for him to be involved but another role elevation for Parker Washington, who would become a priority add if still available.Â
Tucker Kraft – Packers – Knee
Kraft suffered a knee injury in the Packers’ loss to the Panthers. It has now been confirmed Kraft suffered a torn ACL and he will miss the remainder of the season. Luke Musgrave will take over as the starting tight end and he did finish third on the team in receiving yesterday in limited action. He is currently 0% rostered in both Sleeper and Yahoo leagues and is worthy of a waiver wire add. If not, look at the waiver wire for players like Colston Loveland or Dalton Schultz.Â
