The fantasy pitching landscape is getting a much-needed injection of upside this week, with multiple high-octane arms joining big-league rotations. Whether you need a streamer, a stash, or a deep-league lottery ticket, this week’s waiver article presents some of the most intriguing arms we’ve seen promoted in weeks.
Jack Leiter, SP, Rangers (41% Yahoo)
Leiter delivered his best outing of the season last Thursday, holding the Rays to one run over five innings while striking out six. More importantly, he issued just one walk—a needed step forward for a pitcher who had handed out three or more free passes in four of his previous six starts. The command still isn’t perfect, but the results are trending up. He’s allowed three or fewer hits in five of his last six starts, posting a 2.20 ERA over that stretch. With a decent matchup against the Twins this weekend, Leiter is back on the streaming radar and should be rostered in more competitive leagues.
