Welcome to Tuesday Night Pickups. Paul Williamson will be focusing on baseball from now on, so I, Brenton James, will be responsible for these the rest of the way.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Kelly Olynyk, C, NO (13%)
Tonight: 23 Minutes, six points (1-of-6 FG, 4-of-5 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block
Analysis: Olynyk continues to start and posted his second straight double-digit rebound game. He has a diverse game for fantasy and can bring the counting stats with steals and blocks. There will be inconsistency, but he’s shown before he can be extremely valuable when given the minutes and as long as he remains the starter, then he’s worth a look.
Bismack Byombo, C, SA (15%)
Tonight: 23 Minutes, 10 points (5-of-7 FG), 12 rebounds, one assist
Analysis: It’s time to wind back the clock because Biyombo is fantasy relevant again and has now put together two straight double-doubles since becoming a starter. The Spurs have a lack of depth at center and Biyombo looks to be the main beneficiary right now. He can hurt you at the free-throw line, but if you’re in need of rebounds and some defensive stats then you could do worse than the veteran big man.
