Key Storylines

Hold Onto Scoot: Scoot Henderson fouled out in just 14(!) minutes of action on Thursday, which led to an underwhelming performance. However, I would advise fantasy managers to hold onto Scoot. The Blazers have a very favorable schedule coming up over the next week of action and Henderson deserves the benefit of the doubt after his strong run of games recently.

Miller Out For The Season: The Hornets announced on Thursday that Brandon Miller will miss the rest of the season due to the wrist injury he suffered last week. This means that fantasy managers in all formats can obviously go ahead and drop Miller. Nick Smith Jr. has been starting in place of Miller, and while he will struggle providing value outside of scoring (points and 3-pointers), Smith Jr. is someone fantasy managers can consider adding in standard formats if still available.

Stream of the Game

Jabari Walker recorded six steals on Thursday and could be a sneaky streaming option should one or (both) Deandre Ayton and/or Robert Williams III not play on Friday.
Toumani Camara is a strong option but is most likely rostered in standard formats.

Update: Williams and Ayton are out, but Donovan Clingan has been listed as probable and if he plays, he should be a strong streaming option.

Alternatives: Nick Smith Jr., Cody Martin. Kris Murray and Dalano Banton (deeper formats).

Also note that LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges are questionable, which could boost Vasilije Micic or Cody Martin respectively if Ball and/or Bridges are out.

Key Storylines

Small Boost: The absence of Caris LeVert is giving Ty Jerome a small boost at the moment. Jerome started off the season on fire, shooting the ball at an absurd rate and was providing top-100 value for a number of weeks. Once the shooting came back to earth, so did Jerome’s fantasy value. Over the last month, Jerome is only the 178th-ranked player in per-game value in 9-cat formats. However, over the last two weeks, Jerome is the 126th-ranked player and can be rostered in standard formats as a low-end option until LeVert is back. LeVert is questionable for Friday’s game.

Lack Of Rhythm: Paul George has been in-and-out of the lineup for the majority of the season. George returned from a two-game absence on Tuesday, logging 28 minutes. It would be beneficial for George and the Sixers if he would be able to string along a number of games without setbacks, as George does not yet look fully comfortable playing in his first season as a Sixer.
