The God of backup centers: With the unfortunate James Wiseman injury, Isaiah Jackson is locked as the Myles Turner backup. He was always a DNP – coach’s decision question mark in past seasons, but now, with his role secured, IJax is finally living up to the hype – at least the per-minute hype!

East contenders: Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner continue to impress and the Magic have started the season on a strong note. They have a plethora of young talent and some vets to back them up, but it all comes down to the star. Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac are here for our league pass and defensive stats amusement, but can Paolo continue to take leaps in his game, covering up his old fantasy warts? Is it too soon to call them old?

    Stream of the Game

Isaiah Jackson is a personal favorite of mine and a great source of defensive stats, fg% and boards. An IJax and Isaac matchup will feed families.

Alternatives: KCP, Gary Harris (3s), Anthony Black (rebounds and assists), Mo Wagner (if Isaac is out, Mo surpasses IJax by giving your team a fg% boost to go along some points and boards), TJ McConell (assists and steals).

    Washington Wizards @ Atlanta Hawks

    WAS +7.5 (-115),  ATL -7.5 (-105)

Poole just keeps on shooting: If you like traditional pass-first PGs, look away. Poole is a shot-first player that gives you a lot of statistical variance depending on where his shot lands. He and Kuzma are the Wizards’ usage usurpers, but Sarr, Bub, Bilal and company are as intriguing as prospects come, even on a limited amount of ball-handling duties.

Up and coming: Hawks fans have every reason to be excited by Jalen Johnson’s extended role as a creator, by Dyson Daniels’ disrupting defense and by Onyeka Okongwu’s ever-growing game. They’re just missing a shooting spark from their number-one pick. Can he deliver it?

    Stream of the Game

Corey Kispert and 3s go hand in hand. De’Andre Hunter is always a good backup points and 3s plan (if he plays) that can go off. Kispert’s good history with fg% makes him more appealing.

    Alternatives: Bub Carrington (assists)

    Milwaukee Bucks @ Boston Celtics
