The waiver wire is a bit thin this time of year but we’ve got some names available in a ton of leagues that can help out most fantasy GM’s in their pursuit of a title.
Bryan De La Cruz – OF – PIT – 39% Yahoo
He has started to do some nice things in PIttsburgh. Over his last 11 games he has drove in eight runs and is batting .317.
While he has not hit a homer, that is what he is known for. So anytime a power bat starts to improve the average some, things can get interesting.
He does have an xBA of .252 and his real BA is now at .244. So the average improvement is that positive regression that was due to come for him.
But now that the average is starting to come around, managers can be more confident in his power coming along for the ride as he has above average marks in xSLG (.441), avgEV (89.5), barrel rate (9.9), hard-hit rate (42.0) and launch-angle/sweet-spot (35.5).
Now is the time get him as his average should remain around a respectable .250 and the power outage should end sooon.
League size recommendation: 12-team leagues, five-outfield leagues
