Week 4 Injury Report

  • Week 4 had some key players missing in action and a couple of players suffer injury situations to monitor moving forward.

    Will Miss Time

Chiefs Wide Receiver Rashee Rice – Knee – Out Indefinitely

Rice injured his knee after a collision with Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are fearing it’s a torn ACL and are waiting for the results, but as of now he’s still undergoing further testing. This is a dire situation for Kansas City. A receiving corps that came into the year with so much promise is completely decimated and they were already struggling to be a more explosive offense. With Hollywood Brown already on season ending IR and Rice likely to join him, Xavier Worthy presumably becomes the top perimeter target now. After that it’s going to be a committee of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Justin Watson, and Skyy Moore to help relieve some attention from Travis Kelce. The Chiefs situation is as volatile as it gets right now, and even as great as Mahomes is, his fantasy value also could be significantly impacted by this too.

Packers Wide Receiver Christian Watson – High Ankle Sprain – Short term IR candidate

Watson was injured late in the first quarter trying to make a catch over the middle and was ultimately rolled up on, and carted off the field. Sources confirmed this morning that the third year wideout suffered a high ankle sprain and the Packers could potentially put him on short term injured reserve where he would have to miss a minimum of four weeks. While Jayden Reed is Jordan Love’s go to guy, Dontayvion Wicks is only rostered in 14% of Yahoo leagues, 9.5% of ESPN leagues, and 18% of sleeper leagues. Rome Doubs is also highly available as he’s rostered in only 40% of Yahoo leagues, 25.2% of ESPN leagues, and 56% of Sleeper leagues.
