Last Updated on December 11, 2025 10:39 am by Jon Mosales | Published: December 11, 2025
The first week of the fantasy playoffs features an absolutely barn burner of a showdown between two off the elite QBs at the top of our rankings. We also get a double-revenge game shootout, a grudge match between two banged up elites, and a potential smash spot for a breakout rookie fantasy star.
How does the rest of the landscape look as we head into the fantasy playoffs? Check out the Week 15 rankings below.

| Player | Team | Opponent | Notes | |
| 1 | Josh Allen | BUF | NE | Not overthinking the top spot again this week. I’ll take QB1 in a plus matchup and huge game, especially avenging a loss earlier in the year. |
| 2 | Matthew Stafford | LAR | DET | Speaking of revenge games, there’s legitimately bad blood and huge playoff stakes on the line here. The Lions continue to play shootouts, and this shouldn’t be any different. |
| 3 | Drake Maye | NE | BUF | Usually, we’d fade the QB facing the Bills, but this is Maye in a game that opened with a 50-point total, so we’ll have to trudge forward. |
| 4 | Dak Prescott | DAL | MIN | I’m surprised this total is a few points below 50. This seems like a total smash for Dak, especially since J.J. McCarthy looks capable of contributing to a shootout. |
| 5 | Joe Burrow | CIN | BAL | We just saw this game on Thanksgiving, and I have full confidence in rolling with Burrow in the top five this week as a result. |
| 6 | Jalen Hurts | PHI | LVR | Hurts had one of the worst fantasy performances of the whole season last week. The Raiders offer a rare break that he should feast on. |
| 7 | Lamar Jackson | BAL | CIN | Lamar isn’t passing well, with just one TD pass since his return, but he rushed for 43 yards and a TD to return to some normalcy last week. He still has top be a QB1 against this bad Bengals D. |
| 8 | Patrick Mahomes | KC | LAC | It’s a must-win spot for Mahomes, but the Chargers dismantled Hurts last week. Accordingly, I’m way down but not totally out on him. |
| 9 | Jared Goff | DET | LAR | This total opened as one of the highest of the whole season. Goff is the perfect fringe QB1 elevation into the clear weekly QB1 range as a result. |
| 10 | Jaxson Dart | NYG | WAS | Dart had a great QB1 run, but that ended with his Week 10 concussion. That said, this spot screams bounce back. He’s a medium risk, high reward play. |
| 11 | Brock Purdy | SF | TEN | The Titans surrendered a QB1 overall week to Shedeur Sanders last week. Purdy should coast in this spot. |
| 12 | Trevor Lawrence | JAC | NYJ | Lawrence continues one of the more unremarkable QB1 seasons in recent memory. His chemistry with Jakobi Meyers has propelled him lately, and he is an awesome streaming choice against the Jets. |
| 13 | Marcus Mariota | WAS | NYG | The last time we saw Mariota, he crushed against the excellent Broncos. It’s a no brainer to prioritize him as a streamer against the crappy Giants. |
| 14 | Baker Mayfield | TB | ATL | It’s difficult to gauge how to handle Mayfield right now. His injury issues have halted a potential QB1 season, but he looks set to get multiple key WRs back this week. He’s a risky play. |
| 15 | Sam Darnold | SEA | IND | Darnold dominated the second half of Week 14 to get back on track. Against the Colts, there’s substantial game script risk that could vaporize his upside. |
| 16 | Jordan Love | GB | DEN | Love has looked great lately, but Denver at altitude is a different animal. This will be a real test for him and bumps him down below the top streamers. |
| 17 | Jacoby Brissett | ARI | HOU | I haven’t been so fascinated by a QB/defense matchup all season. Brissett has been a QB1 in every start this season, and he draws the toughest possible test. Something has to give. |
| 18 | Justin Herbert | LAC | KC | Herbert isn’t 100%, and this game will probably be low-scoring. I expect the Chargers to lean heavily on their two-pronged rushing attack, and would avoid starting Herbert. |
| 19 | J.J. McCarthy | MIN | DAL | McCarthy reclaimed some fantasy value just before he walks into the stone nuts matchup in the first round of the fantasy playoffs. He’s a fascinating desparation stream this week. |
| 20 | Bo Nix | DEN | GB | This feels like a perfect type of game for Nix to frustrate managers for three quarters before salvaging his week with his trademark late surge. His upside is lower, but he has a solid enough floor. |
| 21 | C.J. Stroud | HOU | ARI | Stroud is such a tough QB to play these days, because his defense restricts overall scoring and his lack of rushing caps any sort of major weekly upside, for the most part. |
| 22 | Tyler Shough | NO | CAR | Shough had 55 yards rushing and a touchdown in Week 14, offering real hope that he can get into the weekly streamer category. The Panthers’ D is a tad too volatile to trust him fully this week. |
| 23 | Bryce Young | CAR | NO | Speaking of volatile, who knows what Young will do week to week. I don’t feel comfortable putting him in the top 20 because of his variable range of outcomes. |
| 24 | Shedeur Sanders | CLE | CHI |
Sanders went positively nuclear in Week 14, offering a glimmer of hope about future upside. This is a great matchup on paper too, but the weather seems likely to destroy a lot of its potential for Sanders.
|
| 25 | Caleb Williams | CHI | CLE | The Bears are going to run, run and run some more in a bad weather game against a Browns defense with an elite pass rush that’s struggled against the ground game lately. I’m fully fading Williams. |
| 26 | Tua Tagovailoa | MIA | PIT | I moderately prefer the Miami offense’s side of this matchup, but truly, neither are appealing. Maybe Tua throws more with De’Von Achane possibly limited or out? |
| 27 | Aaron Rodgers | PIT | MIA | Rodgers was actually quite good against the Ravens, but he just doesn’t have either 100% health or weekly consistency to trust him this week. |
| 28 | Kirk Cousins | ATL | TB | The Seahawks had Cousins in agony, and he just doesn’t have the upside or the weapons to be relevant these days. |
| 29 | Cam Ward | TEN | SF | The Titans ran incredibly well last week. Ward just can’t find the right combination of factors to produce fantasy upside at the moment. |
| 30 | Kenny Pickett | LVR | PHI | Pickett is set to start for Geno Smith and has shown some flashes. He’s off the fantasy radar, but I trust him more than the below messes. |
| 31 | Phillip Rivers | IND | SEA | I can’t believe this is really happening. This is the most out of nowhere QB start I can remember. The Seahawks D may turn him to dust. |
| 32 | Brady Cook | NYJ | JAC | Cook is a sub-NFL caliber player, and if he gets the start, he won’t be relevant. |
| 33* | Tyrod Taylor | NYJ | JAC | Taylor is the best thrower of this backup group, and if he plays, I’d rank him around Rodgers and Tua. |
| 34* | Justin Fields | NYJ | JAC | Fields has the most upside, but a knee injury for a mobile QB gives me pause, were he to start. Same story as Taylor, ranking wise. |
| 35* | Riley Leonard | IND | SEA | Leonard practiced in full Wednesday, giving him strong equity to start. I’d prefer Rivers, and I would prefer Cook slightly because of the matchup. |
| 36* | Brett Rypien | IND | SEA | I have similar disinterest in Rypien, an aging outright bad backup QB. |
