Week 14 Injury Roundup

By JasonBaum85 Published December 10, 2024 2 min read

An already tough week with another byemageddon got tougher as we had some injuries impacting matchups with significant fantasy implications at stake. The bye weeks are now over and we head into the playoffs with injury news to discuss.

Quarterback

Derek Carr – Saints – Hand

Carr suffered a significant fracture in his non throwing hand on Sunday in the Saints’ win over the Giants. The Saints at this point will not be placing Carr on injured reserve and he will push to play as the Saints host the Commanders on Sunday. However, with the Saints banged up at every single skill position except running back, whether Carr starts or it’s Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener, whichever of the three is tabbed to go, has very little if any fantasy value.

Aidan O’Connell – Raiders – Knee

O’Connell suffered a bone bruise in his knee in the Raiders loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He has not yet been ruled out for Monday night’s home contest with the Falcons. Much like the situation in New Orleans, O’Connell or Desmond Ridder are not players fantasy managers would like to put their playoff hopes in the hands of despite the recent struggles of the Falcons defense.
