• Welcome to the second Wednesday Night Pickups of 2025! With the season in full swing and injuries piling up, now’s the time to grab some under-the-radar players who can make an impact. Whether you’re locking in a playoff spot or battling week-to-week for categories, these pickups can help you stay competitive. With “silly season” right around the corner, it’s always good to be prepared. Let’s jump in.

    Standard Leagues

    (<50% rostered on Yahoo)

Malik Beasley, SG, SF, DET (30% rostered)

Tonight: 33 minutes, 23 points (9-of-17 FGs, 1-of-1 FT), two boards, five assists, two steals, four triples.

Analysis: Beasley logged the most minutes for the Pistons tonight and has been stepping up effectively in Jaden Ivey (broken fibula)’s absence. Even before Ivey’s injury, Beasley was earning solid minutes and contributing effectively during those stretches, which bodes well for his continued role moving forward. The Pistons have also been finding success during this period, adding to the case for Beasley maintaining his current level of production. While he may not sustain high-scoring performances consistently throughout the season, his steady 30-plus minutes per game make him a worthwhile addition for managers in need of scoring and 3-pointers.

Guerschon Yabusele, PF, C, PHI (15% rostered)

Tonight: 34 minutes, 21 points (6-of-11 FGs, 4-of-4 FT), eight boards, three assists, one steal, two blocks, five triples.

Analysis: You know the deal with Yabusele at this point—if Joel Embiid and/or Paul George sit out for the Sixers, he instantly becomes a streamer if he’s not already rostered. Even when those two are healthy, Yabusele is still providing enough to warrant consideration in certain formats. Keep a close eye on the injury report prior to Sixers games, as tonight’s resting of Embiid and George was mostly matchup-related. When they do sit, enjoy Yabusele’s production during those stretches, but even if not, he is still kept within the rotation and deserves a spot in your roster.
