• Welcome to Wednesday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 3/12! We’re entering the home stretch of the season, which means plenty of unfamiliar names are surfacing—unless you’re the Utah Jazz, who were forced to play a full lineup tonight as the fines kept piling up, or the Toronto Raptors, who played with no usual starters, creating some waiver wire chaos. As tanking teams experiment with their rotations and contenders solidify their playoff positions, there’s a fresh wave of underappreciated and undervalued waiver wire gems to consider. With nine games on the slate tonight, let’s break down the players worth adding to maximize your fantasy roster. Let’s get to it!

    Standard Leagues

    (<50% rostered on Yahoo)

Tari Eason, SF, PF, HOU (48% rostered)

Tonight: 26 minutes, 15 points (6-of-13 FG, 1-of-2 FT), 10 boards, one assist, two blocks, one steal, two triples.

Analysis: With Fred VanVleet (right ankle) back in action, Jabari Smith Jr. moved to the bench while Eason retained his starting role, logging 25-plus minutes. This should solidify Eason’s fantasy floor considerably, with his next challenge being to hold onto the starting role when Amen Thompson (right ankle) potentially returns in a couple of weeks. A versatile contributor with excellent per-minute production, particularly on defense, Eason remains a must-start fantasy option.

Scoot Henderson, PG, POR (34% rostered)

Tonight: 37 minutes, 30 points (10-of-16 FG, 6-of-10 FT), three boards, two assists, one steal, four triples.

Analysis: Henderson’s minutes have been inconsistent this season, but he has logged 30-plus in three straight games, which is a very positive sign for managers. He has the talent to deliver strong performances—efficiency aside—as long as the opportunity is there. Tonight’s effort could provide momentum for the coming weeks and solidify his role with more consistent 25-plus minute outings. Given how his fantasy stock has cooled compared to last year, now might be the perfect time to capitalize on his undervaluation.
