• Welcome to a jam-packed 14-game slate today! With no games scheduled for tomorrow, it’s a great opportunity to capitalize on the action before the break, as games will resume on Friday. Keep in mind the upcoming weekend schedule as you evaluate players, especially with some returning from injury and others piling up new concerns. Making proactive moves on the waiver wire is more important than ever, and we’re here to help break it all down for you. Without further ado, let’s dive in and highlight some key options!

    Standard Leagues

    (<50% rostered on Yahoo)

Malcolm Brogdon, PG, SG, WAS (30% rostered)

Tonight: 22 minutes, 17 points (8-of-11 FGs), one board, six assists, two steals, one block, one triple.

Analysis: Brogdon only logged 22 minutes tonight as the Wizards suffered a blowout loss to the Clippers, but he was undoubtedly the best player on the floor for Washington. It was a typical performance for Brogdon when healthy, although injuries have been a recurring issue for the 31-year-old guard throughout his career. Despite splitting backcourt minutes with Bub Carrington, Brogdon has proven he can consistently produce, especially now that he appears to be fully ramped up following his recent injury. Given his experience, current opportunity, and dependable contributions, Brogdon is worth rostering in 12-team leagues or deeper.

Scotty Pippen Jr., PG, SG, MEM (40% rostered)

Tonight: 31 minutes, 20 points (8-of-15 FGs), eight boards, one assist, two steals, four triples.

Analysis: Pippen Jr. got the start with Ja Morant sidelined and logged a team-high 31 minutes in the win over the Pistons. He’s proving to be a valuable member of the Memphis rotation and is worth holding onto or adding in standard fantasy leagues if available, especially given Ja Morant’s tendency to miss games or have his minutes monitored for long-term health this season. Pippen Jr. continues to be a reliable source of points, assists and steals, making him a strong option in both short- and long-term scenarios, although the minutes can sometimes be flaky.
