Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Quentin Grimes, SG, SF, DAL (17% rostered)
Tonight: 30 minutes, 17 points (6-of-13 FG, 3-of-4 FT), five boards, three assists, one block, two triples.
Analysis: Grimes led all Mavericks scorers tonight off the bench, marking his fourth double-digit scoring game in his last five outings. He has stepped up in Luka Doncic’s absence, and while this level of scoring production isn’t expected every night, his recent run of 25-plus minutes makes him a solid deep-league option to roster.
Justin Champagnie, SG, SF, WAS (21% rostered)
Tonight: 20 minutes, 15 points (6-of-8 FGs, 1-of-1 FT), two boards, one assist, one steal, two triples.
Analysis: Champagnie has been a part of the Wizards’ rotation for the last 12 games, taking on an increased role due to injuries to key starters. While his scoring output has been streaky recently, following a strong start with consecutive double-digit performances, it was encouraging to see him get back to his scoring ways tonight, especially with some of the injured players returning. Kyle Kuzma is expected to reclaim his spot in the starting five soon, but Champagnie’s production has likely earned him a continued role in the rotation. He should still see enough minutes to make an impact in deeper fantasy leagues.
