Players that play for the Bucks, Magic and Thunder will have added value on the wires as they will be playing an extra game this week (though priority for some managers may go to the Bucks and Thunder players as they play on the shallow slate of two games for the semis of the NBA Cup on Saturday).
But I will mention every under rostered player that could potentially have value in varying leagues.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Goga Bitadze (34% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 38 minutes, 12 points (6-of-13 FG), 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block
Jonathan Isaac did not play and so a little extra was available. The Magic center rotation continues to be in flux but Bitadze has consistently been producing. Even averaging just under 24 minutes per game, he has been producing enough boards and blocks with excellent percentages (even a good FT% so far this year) to give him top-85 9-vat value. While he is producing like this, he needs to be on rosters. And with the Magic getting a game on Sunday before the week ends, he has added value.
Wendell Carter Jr. (29% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 34 minutes, eight points (2-of-5 FG, 4-of-4 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal, oneblock
Just like Bitadze, he benefited from the absence of Jonathan Isaac and was able to log extra minutes, especially against the bigger Bucks opponent. Because he has an extra game, he has added value this week as the Magic will play the loser of tomorrow’s Hawks vs. Knicks quarterfinal matchup. However, his production has been more low-end with decent boards and some defense.
