Injuries keep forcing rotations to change and that means some dudes get an opportunity. This does not mean an automatic add if they produce, but it should definitely peak manager’s interest. Managers need to consider their team’s needs, settings (games cap. limited roster moves), and the future role of the player they are adding in order to make a decision on an add.
Well let me help you parse through the players that are available in leagues and hopefully contextualize the performance and let you know how they can potentially help your fantasy team.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Noah Clowney (16% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 26 minutes, 10 points (4-of-8 FG), two triples, six rebounds, one steal, two blocks.
While he has given 12-team 9-cat value over the last eight games and taking advantage of the opportunity given to him with the Nets dealing with injuries, the game-to-game results have been inconsistent. So streaming him is a high-risk, high-reward play right now as he could easily turn in a game with limited (to no) standard league value. Or he can give you all kinds of goodies, like he did tonight.
Duncan Robinson (14% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 36 minutes, 22 points (8-of-15 FG), six triples, five rebounds, four assists, one block.
This kind of game is not out of the question for Robinson. He definitely has the scoring prowess and jump shot to do this. He now has 11 triples and 43 points over the last two contests. However, outside of a handful of dimes (maybe) Robinson should only be used for managers needing help in triples and scoring.
