• Welcome to Tuesday Night Pickups. It’s your resident Aussie Brenton here and whilst it was a quieter night in the NBA, there’s plenty of waiver wire adds from Tuesday night! Lets get stuck in..

    Standard Leagues

    (<50% rostered on Yahoo)

    Kyshawn George, SG/SF, WASH (25%)

Tonight: 31 Minutes, 12 points (4-of-9 FG, 2-of-2 FT), two triples, five rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block.

Analysis: George has been showing a versatile skill-set and has been bringing strong defensive stats each night. He has accumulated nine blocks over his last three games to go with three steals and when you combine that with triples and counting stats then George is becoming a strong fantasy asset down the stretch. With Washington happy to pile up the losses, the focus should start to be on developing the youth and that is exactly where George sits. He’s been 61st for per-game value over the last two weeks, so there should be ample opportunity for him to have a strong finish to the season.

    Jose Alvarado, PG, NO (19%)

Tonight: 25 Minutes, 14 points (5-of-6 FG), four triples, two rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Analysis: Alvarado is back on the menu as a pickup after a recent slump, now scoring in double figures in three straight games with a recent double-double. On a good night, he brings elite steals, triples and assists which is a rare skillset to find off the waiver wire at this point in the season. He has eight steals, 10 triples and 22 assists across his last three games which shows his value and is worth adding if an impatient manager dropped him recently.
