Let’s cut right to the chase. Whenever you get a five-game week in head-to-head leagues, you jump all over it. To get one during playoff season is a gift from above. That makes the Brooklyn Nets the team to watch this week.
Now, it does warrant attention that the Nets have a pair of back-to-backs — Monday-Tuesday and Saturday-Sunday — which means that you probably won’t get the full five games from someone like Cam Thomas, or potentially even D’Angelo Russell or Cam Johnson. The Nets also get one of those five games on a 12-game slate, which means you may not even have space to stream in someone else, turning them into a four-game player.
That said, the shot at five games is still a shot at five games at a time when volume is king. In the playoffs you should be streaming aggressively and the chance to hit maximum capacity is too good to pass up. The unfortunate part of this is that the Nets aren’t exactly brimming with certified fantasy values. Day’Ron Sharpe is a good bet for rebounds and blocks but after that you’re hoping a couple guys come through beyond expectations. Keon Johnson could score enough to matter, or he could shoot 12-for-48 this week. Tyrese Martin is equally a boom-or-bust scoring option. Can Noah Clowney get up to speed? Does Ziaire Williams get enough minutes to make a difference?
There are lots of moving parts but the Nets are going to play a big part in fantasy matchups, one way or another. Godspeed.
