The NBA Cup is almost over and done with and the schedule is almost back to normal. Almost.

We’ve still got a nasty little gap in the schedule with just the Cup Finals on Tuesday in a game that will not count for fantasy, as well as a league-wide off day on Wednesday before things get back to the usual business. Still, with most of the week back to normal, it’s time to get back into the routine of heavy schedule planning.

One team stands atop the pile this week, and it’s the Sacramento Kings. They’re the only squad to get back up to full speed with a four-game week on the schedule. Even better, they get all four games at home, and have a pair on nights when you can actually stream players into your lineup (more on that later). There may not be a ton to stream in Sacramento, unless you need 3-pointers and want to roll with Kevin Huerter or are willing to bet that Keon Ellis gets real minutes again, but managers who are at all invested in the Kings get a little head start on the competition.

One name to watch in particular is Keegan Murray. The All-Stars are doing fine and Malik Monk has removed all doubt about his fantasy credentials, but it’s Murray who has drawn the short end of the straw. He’s sitting just outside the top-100 and while it feels like he’s gone in the tank lately, his splits over the last month and last two weeks are more or less the same as his season-long mark. Can Murray get out of the doldrums and return to his middle-round standing? Only time will tell but right now he looks like a solid buy-low who shouldn’t cost a ton. It certainly doesn’t feel like his production meets that ranking of late, and sometimes fantasy moves are all about the vibes.
