    Key Storylines

Sochan: Jeremy Sochan has been able to produce at a “standard-league” level despite his role and minutes taking a hit since the arrival of De’Aaron Fox. Sochan is getting through by shooting a high percentage from the field and racking up defensive stats. Still, the trend regarding his minutes is concerning. I would not consider Sochan a “must-roster” player in standard formats moving forward unless we see him get closer to 25+ minutes per game again.

White: After a very strong start to the season, Derrick White has been tumbling down the fantasy rankings over the last month. On the season, White still ranks inside the top-50 in per-game value in 9-cat formats, but over the last month, that drops to 91st. A reason for this drop-off has been the fact that White’s production on the defensive side has taken a hit. Over this stretch, White is averaging “just” 0.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per contest.

Harrison Barnes can be streamed in for a boost in points and triples.

Alternatives: Sam Hauser, Al Horford. Luke Kornet and Keldon Johnson (deeper formats).

    Key Storylines

Simpson Time?: With both LaMelo Ball and Nick Smith Jr, nursing injuries at the moment, rookie K.J. Simpson could be looking at an extended opportunity on Wednesday as the starting point guard. While it is difficult to stream on such a packed slate, Simpson is someone fantasy manages riddled with injuries and/or IL flexibility can consider streaming in standard formats.

Black/Anthony Dynamic: Jalen Suggs remains sidelined and it remains to be seen whether he will be available to get back after the All-Star break. Both Cole Anthony and Anthony Black have had plenty of chances to get extra minutes, but their production has not been consistent as of late. Both players should be viewed as soft holds in standard formats depending on team builds and needs, but would fall out of consideration in standard formats as soon as Suggs is back on the court.
