    Key Storylines

    – Are Things Good? Harden-ly. No James Harden should mean plenty of Tyrese Maxey and De’Anthony Melton. If you drafted with SportsEthos, Melton is likely on your roster, so go enjoy that dude in an expanded role. Should be plenty of blocks and steals incoming with threes and points as well. Just studly stuff. It remains to be seen whether or not Harden will rejoin the team, but it’s looking to me like he’s a dog with his tail between the legs and his comeback is imminent. That’s entirely conjecture, but Harden ain’t tryna get fined, okay?

    – Better Offense Inbound: Damian Lillard is in town and fits the bill for exactly what this offense needed to take it to the next level. Giannis Antetokounmpo looked tired last season, but he was also dealing with a knee issue he had cleaned up in the offseason. Lillard should help lighten that load on him and the pairing couldn’t be better. Lillard has never played with a truly dominant big man, and that’s what he’s needed all along and that’s what he has with this version of Giannis. On offense, it’s a guy that can catch a lob anywhere in a 7-and-a-half-foot radius and finish or draw a foul nine times out of ten. On defense, it’s a solid second line with two shot blockers in Giannis and Brook Lopez. We’re going to likely see some amazing plays from these two and that has everyone excited.
