The Warriors basically did nothing at the trade deadline, so maybe they’re just hoping Steph Curry keeps rolling, Andrew Wiggins stops sucking, Klay Thompson finds some clarity and consistency, Chris Paul comes back from injury to lead the second unit, Draymond Green doesn’t do anything insane, and Jonathan Kuminga can continue to lead the youth crew into the play-in tournament. Ahem, the Warriors did send Corey Joseph to the Pacers for a practically worthless second-round pick and cash considerations. Cool. The Pacers traded Buddy Hield to the Sixers for Marcus Morris Sr., Furkan Korkmaz, and three second-round picks. They then re-routed Morris, along with a second-round pick and cash considerations, to bring Doug McDermott back to the Hoosier State. This means Aaron Nesmith and Bennedict Mathurin get boosts and Furkan Korkmaz gets to ride a different team’s pine. Despite trading for Pascal Siakam a few weeks ago, the Pacers aren’t going anywhere until superstar point guard finally gets fully healthy. This could be a weird game tonight.
