Evan Mobley remains out with left knee soreness for the fourth straight game. They’ve lost two out of the three so far with him on the sideline, including Tuesday’s game against the Celtics. His frontcourt partner, Jarrett Allen, has been having a bit of a disappointing season so far, ranking 89th on the year and things have only gotten worse for him since Mobley’s knee flared up. Max Strus has had quite the start to the season for the Cavs, but he’s started to fall off in recent weeks. Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell are each making fantasy managers happy, as they’ve been known to do over the past few years; however, their production has led to mixed results in the win-loss column. We’re all wondering every week how serious they actually are; the next few weeks could really prove to be telling.
The current highest-paid player in the league, Jaylen Brown’s numbers have been down across the board. Defensive mastermind, Jrue Holiday, has been less efficient and less prominent, but he’s still been solid. Kristaps Porzingis is basically doing what he did in D.C. Jayson Tatum has been a borderline second-round player, but the season is still young. Derrick White has been up and down, but mostly up. Al Horford is barely worth rostering. Not much else to report on with the Celtics. They’re just chugging along atop the East.
