Key Storylines

Quentin Time – Quentin Grimes is listed as probable and all signs point to the new Piston to make his debut. The young guard was buried on the bench in New York where he did not play enough to get 12-team value. Unfortunately, the same might be true in Detroit. They have Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Marcus Sasser, and Evan Fournier getting guard minutes with a sprinkling of Malachi Flynn. If Grimes finds himself getting 30 minutes per night, then he may have 12-team value. But until we see that start to happen, it is best to leave him on the wire.

Paolo’s 9-cat value – Banchero was drafted in the fifth round of drafts and his current ranking does not come close to justifying that. However, over the last month of the season, he has finally given fantasy value that matches his ADP. What has been dragging his 9-cat value down has been both of his percentages and the turnovers. Over the last month, they are still negatives, but they are not the major drain they had been. His percentages going up has lead to better scoring and more triples. He is also dropping dimes at a very nice rate. Managers are hopeful this is a sign that things have fully clicked for the young stud.
