Early Struggles: It has been a tough start so far for Daniel Gafford. He missed a number of games due to injury and seems to not have gotten into a rhythm yet. If he is able to play and stay out of foul trouble on Monday, it could be the first time fantasy managers get to really see what he can do with 30+ minutes of playing time in a game in which the Wizards will desperately need him in order to match up with Joel Embiid.

Decisions: Nicolas Batum will be available to make his debut for the Sixers on Monday, meaning we will get a better picture of what the Sixers rotation might look like moving forward. Will any of the newly acquired forwards establish themselves as a fantasy option in standard formats?

Streamer of the Game: If Kelly Oubre is somehow still available on waiver wires in leagues he needs to be added and streamed in for Monday. He has impressed so far and seems to have the edge in winning the starting SF spot. He will cool down eventually, but he should not be on waivers while he is on a hot streak.

Golden State Warriors @ Detroit Pistons

    Game Time: 7:00 pm ET

    GSW -6 (-110) DET +6 (-110)

Back to Earth: Jalen Duren started the season on fire, dominating in the paint and even providing fantasy managers with an unexpected number of dimes. He has cooled down in his last two games. The assists to start the season might have been fool’s gold, but can Duren average 10+ rebounds and 1.5+ blocks for the season? Duren could end up as one of the biggest draft steals this year if he is able to do it.

Cold Start: Chris Paul has really struggled shooting the basketball, averaging just eight points on 33% shooting from the field, including an abysmal 5% from beyond the arc. The other aspects of his game have been encouraging. He is still adjusting to a new role coming off the bench and will shoot better than this. Fantasy managers should remain patient with Paul. Let’s see if he can find his touch again starting on Monday.
