Teams that have a Sunday- Monday B2B (a lot):

DAL, DEN, MEM, OKC, PHI, PHX, POR, SAC, SAS, UTA

Here are some short-term injuries to monitor from those teams ahead of the updates on Monday:

PJ Washington, Kai Jones, Brandon Williams (exited with hamstring tightness on Sunday)
Aaron Gordon – left Sunday’s game with right calf tightness (again)
    Santi Aldama, Luke Kennard
Tyrese Maxey was out on Sunday and is considered questionable for Monday already
    Monte Morris (irrelevant)
    Deni Avdija
    Jae Crowder, Malik Monk
Kessler, Sexton, Springer, Tshiebwe (and if Markkanen/Collins/Clarkson exist)

Weird Rotations, Fun Results: Ahead of Sunday’s game, Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said the minutes of Guerschon Yabusele, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Quentin Grimes would be monitored moving forward. Well, Grimes played 27 minutes, Oubre 20 minutes, Yabu 12 minutes and while he wasn’t mentioned, Andre Drummond played 10 minutes. Drummond was dealing with an illness over the weekend so perhaps that explains it.

That resulted in a nice points and assists output for Jared Butler, a 14-point and 14-rebound double-double for Adem Bona with five blocks and two steals in 32 minutes and a Lonnie Walker IV 25-11-5 game.

Butler and Bona are really interesting for me statistically but I’ve repeated myself on those two a lot in recent times. I am not adding them in standard formats yet, especially in the playoffs. If you’re on a bye or a “free” week though, give those guys adds and monitor the next few box scores. I don’t think the minutes will be that bad every game. It must be noted that this is a back-to-back so “resting” guys by keeping down minutes makes “sense” and it was also a game the Sixers wanted to lose vs. the Jazz (despite winning).

Also, Nurse said Tyrese Maxey will be questionable for Monday. We had already been told that Paul George would miss both legs of the back-to-back earlier over the weekend.

Krejci questionable: Vit Krejci might be worth a stash in 14-plus-team formats but he is coming off a lumbar fracture so he should be eased in. You’ll likely need to be on a bye. Trae Young is questionable with a quad issue (red flag, because his usual listing is the Achilles ailment he plays through).

Caris LeVert: The “safest” option I would say. If LeVert is ever safe.

    Alternatives:

    Andre Drummond if he plays
Quentin Grimes should likely be rostered
Guerschon Yabusele (it feels risky after Sunday but I guess he plays more if he is available).
    Zaccharie Risacher
    Georges Niang
    Lonnie Walker

    –deep league line–
    Vit Krejci (questionable/stash player)
    Terance Mann
    Justin Edwards
Mouhamed Gueye or Dominick Barlow (gambles)
Jared Butler if Maxey is ruled out
Jeff Dowtin Jr. as a 20-plus-team gamble

    Washington Wizards @ Toronto Raptors

    Key Storylines

B2B Rest: Khris Middleton, Marcus Smart and Richaun Holmes are sitting the first leg of the back-to-back.

Poeltl resting: That means Orlando Robinson should probably start at center again. Ja’Kobe Walter is out with the in-game injury he suffered last week.

    Stream of the Game

Kyshawn George: The Mon-Tues B2B takes precedence here too.

    Alternatives:

    Bilal Coulibaly
    Alexandre Sarr
    Bub Carrington
    Orlando Robinson
    Corey Kispert
    Chris Boucher

    –deep league line–
Jamal Shead – should return to the bench with Quickley back since they want Quick to run point.
    A.J. Lawson
    Jamison Battle
    Tristan Vukcevic (with Holmes out)

    Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics

    Game Time: 8:30 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    UTA +17.5 (+900), BOS -17.5 (-1600)
    Game Total: 229

Filipowski!!!: I am going to do some self-patting for SportsEthos here. If you stay with us through the offseason, you would get our Draft Profiles and know about guys like Kyle Filipowski, Isaiah Collier and company ahead of the season. Knowledge of rookies has given me a league up in fantasy this season and it is especially prominent in deep leagues, but hey, you know who to monitor in silly-season too.

Time Off: The Celtics listed Jayson Tatum and Al Horford as questionable while Kristaps Porzingis doubtful and should miss out again. If the Jazz rest everyone again, I have a feeling Tatum will be given a night off.
