    Milwaukee Bucks @ Charlotte Hornets

    Game Time: 7:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    MIL -7.0 (-110), CHA +7.0 (-110)
    Game Total 238.5.

    Key Storylines

-Stampeding Herd -The Bucks started the season trying to integrate Damian Lillard into the fold and it has really affected the defense, but  Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the last game vs. the Raps and the Bucks still managed to roll.  This team is getting it’s sea legs and as long as Giannis can suit up, he’s currently a GTD, the Bucks should have no problem rolling the Hornets. Lillard looked great last game and the adjustment phase seems to be progressing nicely.

    – A Bridge Too Far -:The Hornets are pretty banged up right now with Terry Rozier out and Gordan Hayward and Brandon Miller nursing injuries.  They finally get Miles Bridges back after over a year away from the game and it will interesting to see what kind of role he has from the jump.  If Hayward can’t go, then Bridges could see solid playing time from the jump.  Make sure he isn’t floating on any wires.

Malik Beasley: Beasley just torched the Raps and he’s a player who can hot in a hurry.  He’s a fun triples and points streamer to ride when he’s shooting the lights out.

    Philadelphia Sixers vs. Atlanta Hawks

    Game Time: 7:30 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    PHI -1.5 (-110), ATL +1.5 (-110)
    Game Total 238.5

    Key Storylines

    – Sixers Unleashed: The Sixers look like a polished squad ready to roll through the league so far this season.  Joel Embiid hasn’t missed a step from his MVP campaign, but he’s a GTD and his availability widely swings just about everything in this game.  He usually ends up playing when he’s on the injury report, but until then everything is in a holding pattern.

    – Same Old Hawks: The Hawks keep making minor adjustments to the roster, but they still have two starting centers for one starting role and two point guards who seem to opt for taking turns rather than meshing together. The Hawks remain good enough to beat anyone and frustrating enough to lose to anyone as well.

    Stream of the Game

Sadiq Bey: Bey isn’t the most well-rounded player, but he can shoot the ball from anywhere and has at least two treys in three straight games.  He’s close to a top-100 player on per-game averages and is worth streaming for this game.  The Hawks don’t play until Tuesday though.

New York Knicks @ Washington Wizards

    Game Time: 7:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    NYK -7.0 (-110), WAS +7.0 (-110)
    Game Total 227.5

    Key Storylines

    – Wandering Wizards: The Wiz are a complete joke of a franchise and don’t seem to have any direction except running in circles.  Jordan Poole looks lost and Kyle Kuzma isn’t a leader in any format.  They don’t have much young talent or quality veterans to ship off for draft picks.  The only thing they are good at is losing.

    – One Hell of a Town – The Knicks are a competent franchise, no more, no less.  Julius Randle has woken up a bit and has scored at least 23 points in five straight games and even shot over 50% from the field in a couple of them.  They grind you down and rely on Jalen Brunson to hit just enough jumpers to take home the win.  It’s not pretty, but it’s effective.

    Stream of the Game

Bilal Coulibaly: The one semi-shining star on the roster is the rookie wing who seems to actually want to play defense.  He has nine defensive stats over the last three games and is only rostered in 32% of Yahoo leagues.

    Detroit Pistons @ Cleveland Cavaliers

    Game Time: 7:30 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    DET+9.0 (-110), Cle -9.0 (-110)
    Game Total 220

    Key Storylines

    – Ausar the Brave- The ROY race is at two-horse race according to the media, but don’t sleep on Ausar Thompson who is doing things we haven’t seen from a rookie wing in a long time.  He’s a defensive menace, but also pounds the boards and is deadly in transition.  Congrats if you used a late-round pick on him because he could be a league swinger.

    – Broken Down Cavs- The Cavs look terrible to start the season and a lot of it hard to do with Darius Garland being banged up and ineffective.  Both him and Donovan Mitchell are on the injury report and if even one can’t go, it could be a prime opportunity for Detroit to pull off the upset.  The Pistons have too much talent to keep losing forever.

    Stream of the Game

James Wiseman: Wiseman has barely gotten off the bench this season but with Jalen Duren out again with an ankle injury and Marvin Bagley questionable with an illness, the Pistons will have to turn to the giant big man.  He’s capable of padding his stats rather nicely while also allowing the opposing center to dominate.

    Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors

    Game Time: 8:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    BOS-7.5 (-110), TOR +7.5 (-110)
    Game Total 223.5

    Key Storylines

    – Free the North: The Raps are a hate-watch on most nights as they can’t seem to score in the half-court or defend the paint.  With OG Anunoby likely out again with a finger injury, there aren’t enough wing defenders to do much of anything.  Be wary of the Raps though, they do exactly the opposite of what you think on any given night.

    – Runaway Train: The Celts were without Kristaps Porzingis and Jaylen Brown last game and nothing seemed to matter.  This is a well-oiled machine that can mix-and-match on any given night.  It’s possible both players return on Friday and more likely the Celts blow the doors off this one early.

    Stream of the Game

There isn’t a great stream in this game regardless of who sits, but Payton Pritchard might be the best option if Jaylen Brown can’t go.  The Celts play three games over the next four days.

Sacramento Kings @ San Antonio Spurs

    Game Time: 8:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    SAC -8.5 (-110), SAN +8.5 (-110)
    Game Total 238

    Key Storylines

-Buckets on Buckets: This game features two of the up-and-down teams in the league who also don’t play defense.  The total is 238 and that seems low even though Devin Vassell is out.

    – Sabonis vs. Wembanyama – It’s always PPV TV when Wemby goes up against a premier big in the league and this one is no different.  It will be fascinating to see how Wemby handles the brute force of Domantas Sabonis as well as trying to keep De’Aaron Fox in front of him.  I don’t suspect he will have much success, but it will be fun to watch him try.

    Stream of the Game

The Spurs are likely without Tre Jones and Vassell, so that means Malaki Branham will get to run the point.  He’s going to get used and abused by Fox, but he might put up close to 20 points of his own.

Denver Nuggets @ New Orleans Pelicans

    Game Time: 8:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    DEN -5.5 (-110),NOP +5.5 (-110)
    Game Total 225

    Key Storylines

Not Shocked: Both teams are banged up and still finding a way to win.  The Nuggets never seem to have Jamal Murray in the fall and the Pelicans lose star players like leaves falling off a tree.  This should be ZIon Williamson vs. Nikola Jokic, but Zion isn’t anywhere near Jokic anymore if he ever was.

Hawkeye: Jordan Hawking is keeping the Pellies afloat with his dead-eye shooting and while the ride probably won’t last all season, get on while it’s still going up.  He dropped 25 points with five treys last game he should continue to get great looks on Friday.

    Stream of the Game

Jordan Hawkins: Going to double-down here since Hawkins is only rostered in 35% of Yahoo leagues.

    Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls

    Game Time: 8:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    ORL+1.5 (-110), CHI -1.5 (-110)
    Game Total 215

    Key Storylines

Snooze Fest : Neither of these teams are very exciting to watch and seem to only score with great pain and effort.  The Bulls are mere days from self-imploding and running a garage sale and the Magic while frisky, can’t seem to put it all together.

Banchero Zero: I can’t remember the last time a number-one overall pick got so little hype in his sophomore season.  Banchero has all the tools to be a beast, but he hasn’t taken a step forward this season and the Magic will continue to tread water until he makes the leap.

    Stream of the Game

Moritz Wagner: Wagner hasn’t stormed out of the gates recently, but try to hold pat if you already roster him. The Magic need him to score inside and he should come back around.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Portland Trailblazers

    Game Time: 10:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    LAL-8.5 (-110),POR +8.5 (-110)
    Game Total 223.5

    Key Storylines

Trail Blazing to Nowhere: The Blazers are executing their plan to perfection by losing five straight games and having all of their veterans on the IR.  It would be nice get Scoot Henderson more reps, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Don’t Trust the Lakeshow: The Lakers have a terrible habit of playing down to their competition and I don’t see anybody getting up for this game.  The good news is that Portland doesn’t have anybody to throw in front of Anthony Davis and LeBron has always enjoyed tormenting the Blazers.  I have a bad feeling about this one.

    Stream of the Game

Skylar Mays: The sky may be falling in Portland, but Mays is holding his own.  He’s got at least 10 dimes in three of the last four games and should be rostered by more than 47% of the Yahoo leagues.

    Phoenix Suns @ Utah Jazz

    Game Time: 10:00 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    PHO-5.5 (-110), UTA +5.5 (-110)
    Game Total 237

    Key Storylines

Big Three Hiatus: We were promised the first showing of Phoenix threesome, but it wasn’t meant to be.  Bradley Beal had his back act up again and likely won’t play in this one.  The good news is that Devin Booker is back and he is going to dance all over this Jazz team.  Smash spot for Booker.

The Day the Music Died: The Jazz are no longer the scrappy upstarts from last season and are instead who everyone thought they would be.  With Walker Kessler out they have no defensive presence and almost no offensive one as well.  Keyonte George remains the only hope for this team making a leap anytime soon.

    Stream of the Game

Eric Gordon has been a solid stream while Beal is out and should continue to see solid minutes and shots.  He doesn’t offer much outside of treys and points, but he doesn’t hurt you anywhere either.

Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Clippers

    Game Time: 10:30 pm ET

    DraftKings Lines

    HOU +8.5 (-110) LAC -8.5 (-110)
    Game Total 219

    Key Storylines

I’m Sorry, What?: The Clippers are winless with James Harden and now they are favored by almost double-digits vs. a Rockets team that is no longer a joke.  Of course the Clips will figure it out eventually, but that is a lot of points to assume it will happen this Friday.  Something is fishy here.

Count Me Among the Converted: I yelled from the mountain tops that this Rockets team was destined to fail and so far they have made a liar out of me.  Going from the worst coach in the league to one of the best has clearly paid dividends and so far everything is clicking in Houston.

    Stream of the Game

Terrance Mann: He’s the best I could come up with and he’s been getting close to 30 minutes, but he’s the fourth option most of the time on the court and clearly isn’t happy with the direction of the team.
