• Sunday’s action left us with a handful of players to take a stab at heading into next week. See below for the top adds from Sunday’s slate of games:

    Adds of the Night

Mo Bamba  – Rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    21 .727 (8/11) .000 (0/1) 5 21 5 0 0 1 2

Bamba looks like he has secured a path to at least 20 minutes a night with Khem Birch now in Toronto, hitting that mark in each of his last three games. He’s not going to be hitting five threes a game for your teams, but he is a virtual lock for 9-cat value in this amount of time with his ability to stretch the floor, grab a decent amount of boards and block a few shots. This is an easy one, go grab him if he’s available.

Malachi Flynn – Rostered in 34% of Yahoo Leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    27 .222 (2/9) .500 (1/2) 1 6 5 4 0 1 3

Flynn saw his playing time and production dip with Kyle Lowry (foot) returning in this game, but he still contributed enough across the board to make me feel confident that he’s still worth rostering as long as Fred VanVleet (hip) remains out (worth reminding that FVV has to be medically cleared before serving a 1-game suspension, so there is at least one the Raps at a minimum have at least one more game without him). 27 minutes is still enough for Flynn to help your teams, and if he hit a couple more shots in this one we’d be talking about a much more productive line. He’s worth grabbing if someone dropped him after this game.

Jalen McDaniels – Rostered in 31% of Yahoo Leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    29 .571 (4/7) 1 9 3 2 1 1 0

JALEN McDaniels has been one of the most popular adds in fantasy this week after two monster games that came on the heels of him entering the starting lineup. His third start on Sunday was certainly a bit more reserved than his two big previous outings, but it’s still productive, and probably more indicative of what he’s capable of when given this 30-minute starting role. It seems like he’ll continue to see this amount of time for the foreseeable future, and looks like he could be a solid source of all-around production at the end of benches in 9-cat leagues.

Jaden McDaniels – Rostered in 26% of Yahoo Leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    30 .143 (1/7) 1.000 (2/2) 0 4 6 1 1 3 0

JADEN McDaniels has been starting for Minnesota over his last 11 games, and has been playing at a top-80 pace in 9-category leagues in that span. He and his brother Jalen, unsurprisingly, have very similar fantasy games, capable of contributing decent blocks, boards and triples on solid percentages and little to no turnovers. If that’s the type of production you’re looking for, Jaden has proven to be a safe bet to continue this pace for the rest of the season.

Dorian Finney-Smith – Rostered in 20% of Yahoo leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    34 .571 (4/7) 1 9 7 3 0 1 1

DFS has been providing solid end-of-bench value in 9-cat leagues over the last month, ranking inside the top-100 on the back of 2.1 triples and 6.0 rebounds per-game with passable defensive stats and percentages. He may not have the eye-popping stat lines that the McDaniels brothers have proven capable of in their stints as starters, but if you missed out on either, Finney-Smith is another solid option who can give you standard league production in similar categories.

James Johnson – Rostered in 17% of Yahoo Leagues

MIN FG% FT% 3PM PTS REB AST STL BLK TO
    33 .500 (4/8) 1.000 (1/1) 0 9 5 4 2 0 2

Johnson’s improbable run of sustained fantasy value continued on Sunday with another well-rounded line with contributions in most categories. The Pelicans are still incredibly shorthanded despite both Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram back to soaking up the majority of the frontcourt minutes, so as long as JJ is getting minutes in the 30s, he’s worth rostering in standard settings.
