Monday is one of the shorter slates of games (four) for the week as there are teams that play today that also play on Wednesday (a six game slate) so players that popped off tonight (Monday) may be worth a look for that next shallow slate of games. Those managers in daily change leagues may want to consider that when considering adds for short term gain. Any who, whatever the reason for the add, we’ve got your back with another nightly pickups column. Per usual, check back throughout the night as I add players to the list.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Payton Pritchard (48% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 33 minutes, 25 points (10-of-17 FG), five threes, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.Â
With Porzingis, Horford, Holiday and Hauser out, there was usage available and more shots to be taken, and Pritchard took full advantage. But even when the C’s have not been forced to sit a lot of dudes, PP had been providing excellent value. I gotta feeling this will be the last week he qualifies for this column. He is just playing too well through 21 games this year, he is ranked just outside the top-50 for 9-cat.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (14% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 36 minutes, 19 points (5-of-14 FG, 9-of-12 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals.Â
Jaquez Jr. gets the start when Jimmy Butler goes down and that gets him into the streaming conversation He has been a consistent supplier of boards and steals, but his usage goes up and causes his FG% to take a hit. Tonight’s FT% is a nice reprieve from from a poor start in that category. The Heat play on Wednesday and there are just six games that game. If Butler looks like he will miss again, Jaquez Jr. is someone to consider.
